Alicia and Paul’s true blue Manchester wedding at Victoria Warehouse
Alicia and Paul were married at the ever fabulous Victoria Warehouse. They are Manchester through and through, even using our amazing city for their seating plan. Their wedding was so loved by the venue that they even decided to project the image above onto the warehouse at the beginning of 2018.
The bridal preparations kicked off with lots of bubbles and a room full of excited bridesmaids in South Manchester. Alicia was super calm as her hair and makeup were perfected by the talented Sarah Morten.
The bridesmaids bundled into Alicia’s childhood bedroom to dress their beautiful bride, putting the finishing touches to her outfit and fastening her gorgeous ASOS shoes.
The service was delayed slightly when the local bin collectors decided that it would be a good time to visit Victoria Warehouse. They were quickly sent on their way so that Alicia could get to the venue in her stunning Horgans car.
The service room was atmospheric with hundreds of tiny fairylights lighting up the former warehouse, with the aisle filled with candles from start to finish. Love Lights the Way had dressed the room in their usual stunning style with Lola the rose gold heart taking pride of place at the front. The lighting combined with the candles led a dreamy feel to the naked brick walls of this alternative wedding venue.
After the service we made a quick trip to Salford Quays, where Alicia is brave (crazy?) enough to swim on a regular basis. After some bubbly and gorgeous photos, we headed back to Victoria Warehouse so that Alicia and Paul could enjoy their celebrations. We couldn’t resist some more photos outside the venue, and set off a few smoke grenades. Unluckily for these blues, the smoke was more red than blue. Sorry guys - it was supposed to be orange, promise!
This wedding was true Manchester. Amazing music, fabulous food and non stop laughter from this wonderful couple and their lovely guests.
Victoria Warehouse is an incredible venue, and definitely one to visit if you fancy a less traditional and more industrial and unusual setting for your wedding. The team there were fantastic and everything went smoothly from start to finish.
