After a truly romantic proposal at the Chorlton Water Park, Sam and Andrew were married at the unique Great John Street Hotel in Manchester.
Sam got ready at her childhood home in South Manchester, surrounded by her family. The lovely Abbey Dearden was responsible for the flawless make up for Sam, her sister and mum. Sam’s gorgeous hair was crafted to perfection by the talented Evalle Hair. Sam’s adorable niece Mia also got in on the action with some beautiful curls to complement her flower crown.
The breathtaking dress that Sam chose was by Rebecca Ingham for Maggie Sottero, from Confetti Box Bridal. A neighbour was drafted in to fasten the tiny buttons lining the back of the dress, which was beautifully finished with a stunning back necklace.
While Sam was getting ready, Andrew was putting together the final touches at the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester city centre, which is part of the unique Eclectic Hotels group. A truly individual venue, the hotel is an original Victorian school house which has been converted into a luxury townhouse hotel. Its schoolhouse charm and individuality lent itself perfectly to Sam and Andrew’s elegant Manchester city centre wedding.
Sam made her way to the service via the rooftop lounge, and walked down the aisle in the beautiful and intimate playground room. After saying their vows, they were sung to by the talented Joe Hampton. The vows were captured in style by the wonderful Visions of Grace videography.
After the service, Sam and Andrew got lucky with a burst of beautiful sunshine as they greeted their guests in the rooftop lounge. We then left the Great John Street Hotel for a walk through Manchester, walking streets full of memories for Sam and Andrew as they reminisced about their first dates in the city. It was a brilliant opportunity for some urban phototgraphs that captured Manchester in its glory.
We also had a wander through the character filled Great John Street halls for some more couple photographs. This beautiful schoolhouse has so many quirky corners and details that were a dream to photograph. Sam and Andrew then moved on to drinks, fabulous food and dancing at this quirky school-house venue. After their supremely lovely first dance to a classic Ed Sheeran track, it was time for them to dance the night away as husband and wife as the sun set over Manchester.
Sam and Andrew’s unique day was played out perfectly in the beautiful Great John Street Hotel. This urban school house venue was the perfect setting for an elegant and alternative city wedding with lots of unusual features. We couldn’t resist a few final photographs on the terrace of Great John Street with the Hilton hotel as the backdrop.
